We will wrap up our adult education programs for the 2011-2012 congregational year with two informative presentations.
On Sunday, April 29, Dr. Paula Doress-Worters, the founder and director of The Ernestine Rose Society, will speak about the
atheist feminist. Doress-Worters also is a scholar in the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. Additionally, she is a co-author of “Our Bodies, Ourselves.” Copies of “Mistress of Herself: Speeches and Letters of Ernestine Rose,” which Dr. Doress-Worters edited, will be available for purchase.
On the following Sunday, May 6, Dr. David Eddleman, a well-known composer of choral and other music, will discuss Yiddish films and musicals. Dr. Eddleman’s own works have been performed on every continent except Antarctica. He is currently on the faculty of the Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua, NY, and lectures at the Education Center in Longboat Key, FL.
Both programs will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Hebrew Academy in
