Membership in CHJMC will enable you to be part of a vibrant and stimulating community based on Jewish culture and a commitment to ethical and social values. As a member, you can participate in High Holiday services, holiday celebrations, Shabbat services, adult education programs, Sunday School, social action activities and the close friendship of our congregational family.
Our congregation appeals to many types of individuals, including singles, couples, families with young and teen-aged children and empty-nesters who were raised in traditional and non-traditional Jewish environments as well as interfaith couples. All share a connection and interest in Jewish culture and celebration and Humanistic values. Members may or may not believe in a deity, but such belief is not a relevant part of our congregational lives.
Unlike the traditional, religious-oriented congregations to which some of our members once belonged, our dues structure is relatively straight-forward and inexpensive. Our annual dues, which include membership in the Society for Humanistic Judaism and admission to all High Holiday services and most other events, can be paid in up to three installments:
- Single Adult - $300
- Couple or Family without Sunday School Child - $500
- Family with One Sunday School Child – $1,050
- Family with Two or More Sunday School Children – $1,250
CHJMC welcomes everyone who wishes to become a member, regardless of ability to pay. We will put you in touch with our treasurer concerning financial assistance.
